European Public Law

Founded in 1995, the Academy is the oldest and most esteemed educational establishment of the “European Public Law Organization” (EPLO). The EPLO is an international organization that aims to create and spread knowledge in areas of public law, the rule of law, and good governance. Thus, the establishment of the Academy of European Law was for this very educational purpose. The Academy holds each summer, 3-week study sessions in Greece, where participants have the opportunity to take part in an intensive course program all while enjoying the summer breeze by the sea.
The Academy's 2024 session is composed of two intensive teaching sessions, with 2 general courses and 3 special courses, a “meet––experts” session, a guest lecture, a field visit, cultural events, and participation in the Annual Conference of the esteemed European Group of Public Law.
This year's general theme will go further into the contemporary Environmental and climate crises and dive deeper into the current discourse on the digitalization of the state and public administration and smart cities.

The European Public Law Organization (EPLO) is an International Organization with headquarters in Athens, Greece. Today, 17 states, 7 public authorities, 76 universities.

Target group

Eligible applicants should hold an undergraduate law degree, or political sciences, European studies, international affairs, and other related fields. In addition, eligible applicants should be proficient in English for academic purposes.

Course aim

The Academy offers 3-week summer study sessions for those interested in furthering their knowledge in Environmental studies and delving deeper into the new discourse on digitalization of the State and public administration.

Fee info

EUR 1350: 1. The in situ/on-premise program is offered at 1350€.
2. An Early Bird discount is applied only for the on-premise program at 1000€ and is offered for applications submitted before May 30, 2024.
3. A Non-refundable application fee of 50€ to be submitted along with the application.
EUR 2500: Tuition for I.I.LL.M (attending two sessions for 2 years consecutively allows you to be eligible for the I.L.L.M.) is 2500€ and includes:
a. Participation for two consecutive summer sessions of the Academy
b. Participation in lectures, field visits, cultural events
c. Non-printed course material
d. Certificate of Participation (ECTS Diploma Supplement upon request)
e. Participation at the European Group of Public Law Conference (plenary and workshops) for the on-premise students
