UNISCA is not a regular university course. It is a two-week Summer Course consisting of two parts. The first week of this course focuses on theoretical knowledge of the United Nations and contemporary global issues discussed within this organization. In this part of the course, guest lectures will be given by professionals and academics from within relevant fields.

The actual Model United Nations (MUN), an academic simulation of the United Nations, will take place in the second week of the Summer Course. Here, students can choose to fulfil the role of either delegate, lawyer or journalist. As a delegate, students are assigned to a States Party for the duration of the conference as a delegate of that country. As delegate, you represent the official policies of the country you have been assigned to and defend these policies on different global issues within a specific Committee. In these specific Committees various issues are discussed and resolutions are to be written. As a journalist, all the events will be reviewed, reported and commented upon by your Press Department via a daily newspaper. As a lawyer, you will engage with a case between countries a simulation of a court case in the International Court of Justice.
