Data Visualization

Throughout the course the participants aquire practical knowledge based on theory, principles and experience. They will learn the basic design principles of data visualization from the aspect of human cognition, perception, visual understanding and reasoning as well as from ethical and critical viewpoints.

Minimal Excel knowledge is required.

Course aim

Participants will put theoretical knowledge into practice using a wide range of visualization and mapping tools, like, for instance: Flourish, RawGraphs, Cosmograph or Foursquare Studio. By the end of the course, participants will be able to create their own, full-fledged data visualization project.

EUR 490: The course fee for 1-week on-site courses - that includes tuition fee, meals (coffee break and lunch), local transport and the cost of the leisure time programs - is 490 EUR
