This course is an open minded response to the persons looking for getting knowledge and practice related to the modern human and material resource management. Management alternatives associated to a project accomplishment will be presented and practiced.

The course gives a flexible and practical approach of the Project Manager profession from the context of accomplishing his tasks up to the abilities he needs to develop. During the course a satisfactory analysis of the methods, techniques and tools for project management is being done.
Divided into four learning modules (M1, M2, M3 and M4), three of the most worldwide spread project management frames are presented: PMBOK, PRINCE2 and Agile/SCRUM. The summer course participants may approach and compare these frames in order to select the most suitable option for their professional development. Each learning module has a standalone one week time configuration.

This course is addressed to everybody wishing to approach efficient modern project management knowledge, frame and skills. Among those who can benefit from this course are:
• Any team member who is required to work in a project;
• Participants in research and development projects;
• Technical service and support staff;
• Administrators and managers responsible for coordinating, facilitating or managing projects and programs;
• Technical professionals and engineers moving into project leadership and coordination positions;
• Students who are preparing to start their professional carrier

Course aim

At the conclusion of the course, you will be able to create a project life cycle, a statement of work, a work breakdown structure, a schedule, a budget and a risk management plan. Your imagination will be challenged and your agility tested. You will meet people from different countries and you will perform from inside two different scenarios (Spain and Netherlands).

Students are encouraged to bring current projects to the class.
