This course analyzes different health care systems throughout the world and their impact on global health care.

Target group

Undergraduate and graduate students from all over the world in fields related to those covered by the course are welcome to apply. Since the course is taught in English, a level of B2 (according to the European Framework of Reference for Languages) is required. No previous knowledge of German is required. Participants must be over the age of 18.

Course aim

Focusing on interdisciplinary as well as multiprofessional aspects of current health care research, you will explore economic, financial and political influences on health care and their consequences for health care education. You will learn about international strategies on health care politics, as well as primary health care issues. Afterwards, you will discuss these with expert representatives from different countries. Additionally, all Summer Schools students will take part in a German taster course.

EUR 1490: The program fee of 1490 € includes the course fee, accommodation, the entire cultural and recreational program, free public transportation within the city of Osnabrück and a discount for using Osnabrück University’s cafeterias. In addition to the course you will be able to take part in a rich cultural program: visit of sights in Osnabrück, excursions to Bremen and Berlin, a mudflat hiking tour on the shores of the North Sea, sports and much more!
