Portuguese | Language of the Year
In the year of the Football World Cup in Brazil Portuguese is our Language of the Year.
Have you ever wanted to study or work in Portugal or Brazil? Then we have just the thing for you! We offer a challenging, lively course with a native-speaker. You will improve your Portuguese skills in a small group. Regardless of whether you would like to sign up for 50 hours in two weeks or 100 hours in four weeks, we have the right course for you!
You won't learn Portuguese just in the classroom! For example, you can practice your Portuguese in a playful atmosphere and learn about cusine at the Cooks' Workshop. You can improve your listening comprehension and gain new insights into Portuguese and Brazilian culture with the Portuguese and Brazilian films shown in class and the cinema. And you can learn even more about the Portuguese and Brasilian culture at the weekly international gaming night. Or pratice your conversion skills during a relaxing walk or picnic in the park.
And that's not even the half of it! Learn Portuguese and explore the cultural history of Germany that Weimar has to offer. In collaboration with the Klassik Stiftung Weimar, we are introducing a new supplementary feature: the museum project. This will give you the opportunity to practice your language skills on site in one of the Klassik Stiftung Weimar's museums, for example the art collection of the castle, the Park Cave or the Roman House. Join us on this journey of discovery, and improve your Portuguese and your cultural knowledge at the same time!
And of course we want to hear about your personal goals and interests for the course.
