The Leiden Academic Centre for Drug Research (LACDR) hosts the International Summer School of Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences (BPS) for talented future master students. During the course, participants will be provided a comprehensive overview of our excellent Master program and of the research performed within the three research clusters, Drug & Target Discovery, Systems Pharmacology, and BioTherapeutics of the LACDR (see below for details). The school offers interactive lectures, practical on-site research training, student poster session, and social activities.

Target group

The summer school is open to talented, driven and curious 3rd year bachelor students or equivalent interested in a Master’s programme at a world-class research institute in drug discovery and development.

Course aim

The aim of the Summer School is to provide an opportunity to obtain hands-on experience with the international competitive level of research that is performed at LACDR. The interactive program offers a unique opportunity to meet the researchers of the LACDR and interact with students currently enrolled in the Master program Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Credits info

After successful completion of the Summer School participants will receive a certificate of attendance.

Fee info

EUR 150: The fee for participation includes tuition, study materials, welcome reception and farewell dinner.

Scholarships

The LACDR is offering up to five scholarships of €500 for the best students enrolling in the Summer School with serious interest in applying for the master program Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences.
