The Department of Business Administration of the School of Management and Economics of the Technological Institute of Thessaly ( previously TEI of Larissa ), in cooperation with the Laboratory of Agricultural Extension and Rural Sociology of the School of Agriculture, Forestry and Environment of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, and the Division of Agricultural Economics of the Technological Institute of Western Macedonia in Florina, are organizing in July 2015 the 2nd Advanced Summer School on Food Marketing, Consumer Behavior and Quantitative Methods of Market Research. The seminar aims to offer specialized knowledge, both applied and theoretical, to young researchers and professionals from all over the world.

Target group

The Summer School is addressed to senior level students, graduates of Universities and Technological Institutes and PhD candidates with similar specialties but also to professionals from the food industry. The prerequisites of the students that will be admitted to the program are a working knowledge of Marketing, Statistics and Econometrics.

Course aim

The Summer School aims to provide the participants (students, researchers) the necessary knowledge (theoretical background and quantitative techniques), in order to be able to apply modeling techniques and conduct a market research in the areas of food marketing and consumer behavior

Fee info

EUR 300: The fee for attending the program is set at 300 euros and includes the following:
-All teaching materials
-Breakfast and light lunch
-Closing day dinner and
-Two afternoon excursions.
Summer School participants have the possibility to stay either at a Hotel of their choice in the city of Larissa (http://www.tripadvisor.com.gr/Hotels-g189503-Larisa_Larissa_Region_Thessaly-Hotels.html) at their expense, or at the campus dormitories at a cost of 50 euros per person, for the whole week.

The accommodation expenses (50 euro) will be paid to the specific office for accommodation of the TEI of Thessaly.
