The recent developments on “Information and Communication Security” comprise the aim of the two week summer course. A comprehensive overview and broad coverage of ICT Security are provided under the following thematic areas:
• Introduction to Security
• Privacy
• Forensics
• Identity Management
• Mobile Technologies
• Security Work

The Intensive Programme on Information and Communication Systems Security (IPICS) 2015, will be held on Lesvos Island, in Greece, from 06 July 2015 to 17 July 2015, organized by the Department of Information and Communication Systems Engineering & the Department of Cultural Technology and Communication of the University of the Aegean.

The IPICS 2015, interwoven with an attractive social program, includes an exhibition to the most important cultural “spots” of industrial heritage of Lesvos Island.

Course aim

1. Promoting a cross-disciplinary view of security
2. Creating a European culture of security education
3. Stimulating innovative Research in all related disciplines
4. Exploring the key aspects and the challenges of ICT Security through interactions between academia and the business world

Credits info

The IPICS 2015 participants students, attending successfully the Sumer School, will be awarded a certificate that will provide them with 4 ECTS (2 ECTS provided with fully attendance and 2 ECTS provided with handing an essay).

EUR 300: • Students: 300 Euros (It is compulsary to attend the 2 weeks program)
Participation fees include lectures and course material, social events, and lunch
EUR 500: • IT professionals and Academic Staff:
o 2 weeks course: 500 Euros
o 1-day session: 150 Euros
o 2-days session: 200 Euros
o 3-days session: 300 Euros
