Dutch Art, Literature and Language for EU Interpreters and Translators (Winter Edition)

This intensive one-week course is especially designed for interpreters and translators. The course focuses on Dutch Art, Literature and Language in Dutch society. The goal of the course is upgrading the interpreters’ passive knowledge of Dutch through lectures on topical issues, as well as improving their active command of the Dutch language (C level).

An average day consists of a lecture by a field expert and a Dutch language class, in which the participants will analyse various recordings and read and discuss articles on topical issues.

After successful completion of the course interpreters receive 25 PE points.

Target group

Interpreters who have reached C1 level (CEFR). You are required to take a placement test developed by Babel.

Course aim

The purpose of this course is to expand interpreters' active and passive knowledge of the Dutch language.
