The Halcyon School on Digital Innovation and New Product Development offers a unique learning experience that leads towards hatching of new ideas or products. In a multicultural setting, participants will interact in experiential learning settings to develop competences that will better prepare them for the future, either as part of an innovative endeavor of their own or as intra-preneurs within international innovative organizations. Case studies and workshops on social entrepreneurship will assist participants develop their potential as change agents for society and will help them identify opportunities others miss to improve systems, invent new approaches, and create solutions to change society, at large.

The program combines conceptual frameworks, interactive learning activities, field trips and teamwork on a case study that is derived from a real business challenge. Through all these learning methodologies, participants completing the Halcyon School will be equipped with the skills, experience and tools needed to apply their knowledge and address challenges in start-up companies or innovative organizations.

Course aim

The objective of this course is twofold. First, it aims to provide the methodologies and tools to develop and assess Digital Innovation projects both within existing companies and in start-up markets through modules on Principles of strategic analysis applied to Digital Business, models and tools; Value Assessment models; Impact of innovation and others. Second, it aims to create an arena in which students can apply the methodologies to their own initial idea and promote innovations in Digital Markets, Business Models, Digital marketing or Digital Operations.
