This programme focuses on Medieval Jewelry of Western Europe, Kievan Rus’, the Middle East and Central Asia. The programme teaches students how to analyse written sources and artwork, and how to apply visual research methods, including microscopy, CAT, radiography and use wear analysis, to medieval jewellery studies. Besides lectures and workshops, the programme includes experiments with the application of ethnoarchaeological methods.
Working languages: Russian and English. The programme is delivered in Russian with interpretation and translation to English provided by certified interpreter.

This programme is for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate students, regardless of nationality. Recent graduates up to the age of 35 are also welcome. Visa support for non-Russian nationals is provided, where required.
