Pre-University Medicine **ages 16-17**
**For ages 16-18**
This course is designed to provide high school students with a valuable insight into life as a medical student and a doctor. King’s is home to Europe’s largest health school and this course offers students the chance to broaden their understanding of the study of medicine and the wide variety of career options within health and healthcare.
This course will consist of a minimum of 40 contact hours with teaching taking place between 9 am and 5 pm from Monday to Friday.
The King's College London Pre-University Summer School is a unique academic and social experience designed for high school students who are enrolled in their final two years of study (typically 16 and 17 years old).
Learning outcomes and objectives
By the end of the module, you should have:
• experienced a variety of learning activities typical of a first year undergraduate degree in Medicine
• built on your existing knowledge of core elements covered in a first year undergraduate degree in Medicine
• carried out independent research on a given topic and produced a structured and well supported response to an assignment brief
• worked collaboratively in diverse groups to produce a presentation
