Pre-University Summer School in Medicine
The University of Exeter Medical School is offering a unique and innovative academic programme for students in their last two years of high school, who are interested in learning about Medicine, Medical Imaging, Medical Sciences and Biomedical Sciences, and who want to experience university life in the UK. This intensive academic programme combines university-style teaching (lectures, problem-based-learning and small group work) with hands-on, practical sessions at our Clinical Skills Resource Centre, to develop an understanding of the clinical and communication skills required in the medical professions.
There will also be a chance to learn more about the UCAS application process including writing personal statements, aptitude tests (UKCAT and BMAT) and preparing for interview, as well as an overview of the careers opportunities available for graduates in all of our medical degree programmes.

Students entering their last 2 years of high school, aged between 16 - 18 and intending to study a degree in Medicine in the UK.
By taking our two-week summer school programme you will gain knowledge, skills and experience which will help you make a successful UCAS application to study Medicine or other subject allied to Medicine. You will gain a valuable insight into life as a medical and medical sciences student and discover more about clinical and academic training through a mix of classroom-based teaching plus sessions in the clinical skills resource centre, laboratories and a visit to a hospital.
GBP 2500: The programme fee is: £2,500 and includes tuition, accommodation, meals, travel to and from Heathrow airport and social events.
