Social Computing in the Big Data Era
This summer school covers topics from a broad range of domains which contribute to advancing the field of Big Data. Supported by the EU-funded HORIZON2020 project Network for Social Computing Research (NOTRE), the summer school aims to encourage participants to understand significant research issues commonly or increasingly studied in the field of Social Computing in the Big Data Era. Such enhanced understanding will enable them to select and combine appropriate research methods, technologies, theories for their specific Social Computing projects and to contextualize them without unintended impacts on validity. Furthermore, it will give opportunities to graduate and PhD students to interact and exchange research ideas with other graduate and PhD students, participate in discussions and focus group sessions on research studies and experiences and engage in discussions around research in Social Computing in the Big Data Era.
