Sustainable entreperneurship in Africa
Africa is emerging, the highest economic growth rates among the world can be found on this continent. Africa governments are increasingly focusing on sustainable entrepreneurship, which aim to make a positive impact on economic, social, ecological and cultural development of the 54 countries on the continent.
During this module, taught in English, students will be given a specific business problem that they will have to solve in an international, multi-cultural and multi-disciplinary team. In-depth knowledge and practical experiences will be taught by speakers from Thuas, University of Leiden, entrepreneurs and non-governmental organizations active in Africa.
Bachelor students and young professionals interested in sustainable entrepreneurship in Africa.
Every morning, from Monday to Thursday there will be inspiring lectures illustrated with real life stories and interactive discussions around business issues. In the afternoons students will work in workshops on solving their business case. In the evenings, students can explore the vibrant city of Rabat where the module is given. On the first Friday of this module students can visit a local company. During the last Friday of the module, there will be a closing event in which students present their work to each other and related stakeholders.
EUR 899: The two week program of The Hague Summer School has a tuition fee of 899 Euro. However the 2 week course costs € 1.499,- for the full package, this includes the tuition fee, individual housing in the Student Hotel next to the University, and in-program as well as social activities & lunch.
