Egyptology for not Egyptologists: base training in Archaeology, History and Language of Ancient Egypt
The Summer School is an 8-day intensive academic program aimed to provide a basic training on the main aspects of the Egyptological discipline.
Italian and international scholars will provide participants basics about archaeology and history of ancient Egypt, from Predynastic Period up to Roman Age, and an elementary knowledge of the hieroglyphic system.
The Summer School is designed to students and professionals in the Humanities, not directly involved in Egyptology but still in possession of common interests, and, in general, for all those interested in the ancient Pharaonic civilization.
The Summer School will be held at the Department of Civilisations and Forms of Knowledge of the University of Pisa.

Course aim
The Summer School aims to provide basics about the main events of the millennial Egytian history, the most important archaeological sites and monuments and an introduction to the Middle Egyptian grammar.
