Content:

Half-day sessions will cover 4 main themes:

International organizations of primary care
Concept and role of primary care within health systems
Innovations in primary care
Research in primary care

The program will consist of various educational methods:

Students’ presentations
Lectures
Interdisciplinary project writing throughout the week with a final presentation to decision makers
Litterature analysis
Round tables
Panel discussions with different stakeholders
Visits of innovative primary care settings of the region Pays de la Loire will be organized in small groups.

International stakeholders will hold sessions from varied clinical and non-clinical disciplines related to primary care.

This program is ideal for:

-health professionals recently graduated or students at the end of their curriculum

-searchers or students in human and social sciences

-decision makers

For information, the participants could come from:

Clinical disciplines: general practitioner, nurse, midwife, pharmacist, physiotherapist, social worker, psychologist...

Non clinical disciplines: sociologist, economist, geographer, epidemiologist, anthropologist…

As we wish to support the emergence of community leaders, part of the participants will be selected for their ability to serve in the coming years as mentors on the course.

Course aim

This international and multidisplinary summer school aims at providing participants with opportunity to:

- Develop reflection on the role and the organization of primary care in different countries and the input of research on practice and development of primary care.

- Develop collaborations with the aim of supporting a community of leaders in primary care

The Summer School not only offers a fine selection of interesting courses and scientific visits, it also aims at giving you an unforgettable stay in France. You will enjoy the numerous social activities in our beautiful historical city and your one-day trip on the Atlantic seashore.

EUR 500: 500€ for applications received before the 16th of March (and payment before the 1st April).
