The program focuses on the contemporary art market and the ways to get involved in it. The goal of the course is to transform you from consumer to maker in the cultural field.

Q&A sessions, lectures and dinners with the makers of the Biennale and its satellite exhibitions will give you insider knowledge of creating art projects.

You will work on a group project dedicated to the Venice Biennale and create a roadmap for your personal creative goals. We will work together on your skills and provide the support and financial advice you need to turn your idea into reality.

Target group

The course is designed for creative curious minds. Students, curators, museum workers, artists and art lovers are welcome. On average there are around 11 nationalities per group.

Course aim

ECA creates a space that celebrates and nurtures creative ambition. Here you and your peers from around the world are immersed in a collaborative, creative and inspiring environment. No matter how much you are involved into the art world, there is a space for your to be creative.

The programme focuses on individual projects and provides support based on your needs. Small group size gives you a chance to truly connect with the lecturers and peers.

Leading practitioners share their personal experience in curating and organizing art projects. You will learn about practical details and real costs of participating in the Biennale, review case studies from gallerists, state institutions and museums.

You get access to the network we've built during 12 years of organizing exhibitions in art and architecture. The programme is an excellent way to join the international creative community. ECA and its alumni network will support your after the course as well.

University students will only get credits if their university has a partnership with ECA.
