English Language for Business
Our three week course in English Language for Business is designed for students who wish to improve their fluency and understanding of English Language specifically for business purposes. The course is aimed at students who have an intermediate level of English and are advance planning for careers in a global business environment and wish to gain a competitive edge by understanding one of the main languages of international business.
The course covers reading, writing, listening and speaking but with particular emphasis on developing your listening and speaking skills and your confidence in using English in a business context.
The course will be highly interactive and include group work, case studies, business role plays and presentations to build your confidence ad skills in real-life situations. The course will include the language and business vocabulary you need for a variety of scenarios in a professional setting including interviews and job applications, meetings, telephone, email and skype, presentations, negotiations, networking and most importantly cultural awareness of key English speaking countries.
Anyone aged 18+ is welcome to study this course
You must check with the relevant office of your institution if you will be awarded credit, but many institutions will allow this. In general, you’ll earn 3 credits in the US system, and 7.5 ECTS in the European system. Warwick will provide any necessary supporting evidence to help evaluate the worth of the course.
