The course is aimed at foreign students with a basic level of Spanish (A1 of CEFR) who want to reach a level of communicative competence equivalent to level A2 of the CEFRL: this effectively means the ability to deal with simple, straightforward information and expressing oneself in a limited manner in most common situations in daily life.

This course places an emphasis on classroom activity. Classroom hours cover the basic objectives of the course syllabus. Students work both under their teacher’s supervision and independently; when not supervised, they will use the resources provided by the teacher or the online resources of UAB Idiomes Campus.

Students wishing to enrol must either present a certificate that they already hava level A1 or else take a placemet test before enrolling. Please contact summer@uab.cat

Course leader

María del Mar Martín. She has a degree in Spanish Philology from University of Barcelona, specializing in Literature (1985). Moreover, she has a degree in English Philology from University of Barcelona (2002).

Credits info

6 EC
The subject is accredited with 6 ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) that your university might transfer to you own degree programme (depending on your home university’s regulations), especially if it has a mobility programme in place with the UAB.

Fee info

EUR 910: The course fee for international and national students (non-UAB students) is € 910 but those who register before May 15th will get 20% discount.

No but there is 20% discount on the tuition fee if prospective students register before May 15th
