This two-week module offered by Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi within the Interdisciplinary JASSY Summer School aims at providing functional expertise to Strategic Human Resource Management trainees by means of a compact, yet comprehensive approach.
Although there have been debates on recognising Human Resource Management's (HRM) strategic role in a company, recent data reveals that many organizations are finally beginning to give their endorsement. In this context, now is the best time for HR professionals to prove their expertise.
By taking up this course, you will gain valuable knowledge about the strategic role of HRM in modern organizations. Upon completion, you will be aware of the key aspects which should be considered when generating a strategic view of HR. You will also be able to understand and analyse the link between HR and organizational strategies and outcomes, as well as set up HR processes - recruitment and selection, development, performance management, engagement, well-being - all aligned to the overall business strategy.

Target group

This module is designed for university students and graduates interested in acquiring a better understanding of strategic implications of HR processes in organizations.

Course aim

Focus on explaining and experimenting the strategic importance of HR and on creating a toolkit of practical skills for developing the appropriate HR strategic processes for an organization.
