The course content is all about finance and banking in a nutshell.

Course leader

Several professors from inside and outside Frankfurt School, Finance, Banking and Management experts. The professors work hand-in-hand with policy-makers and executives to offer tailor-made solutions to real-world questions.

Target group

Frankfurt School’s Finance Boot Camp targets Bachelor and non-finance Master students seeking to develop or deepen their skills in finance in one of Europe’s leading financial centers: Frankfurt am Main.

Course aim

This course explains the major challenges that confront the management of banks. The course relies largely on a computer-based simulation of a competitive banking market to foster self-discovered insights. Students acquire knowledge of the various main types of risk to manage by means of cases, lectures that are based in part on textbook material and in part on scientific papers, and most importantly by playing a number of simulation rounds against each other.

Participants in our summer school will benefit from our immediate proximity to prestigious financial institutions such as the European Central Bank (ECB) and the Deutsche Bundesbank (the German central bank). The Finance Boot Camp will provide plenty of opportunities to network and you will be sure to make some new friends too. In addition, there will be plenty of opportunities to engage in athletic activities such as swimming or running in the morning for those who wish to.
