Stay home. Learn together.
Mobility, information and safety are the anchor points for innovations driven by the Action Line Digital Cities. Wireless connectivity for vehicles enables the communication between cars and their internal and external environments, which will improve traffic safety, instantaneous alarming of emergency services, optimize routing and planning, and make public transport services more flexible towards the individual user.
This summer school will present smart mobility techniques at a ready-to-apply level to give the participants all knowledge needed to organize, optimize and allow a smart organization of the urban mobility, which aims at identifying the needs of urban population moving in a digital city for all purposes connected to its family, work and entertainment life.
Participants will be taught how to transform the gained knowledge into innovative business ideas and turn these ideas into concrete business proposals. They will be coached by industrial, scientific and business mentors, who will follow the business idea development at all levels and train them to pitch it in front of a real industrial board of potential investors. The use case will be provided by industrial partner involved in the teaching and mentoring activities. The cases will be developed at an industrial level, as real solutions to real problems.
A significant part of the programme will be dedicated to team building and business and pitch coaching. Already in the first week, the students will learn how to interact with one another and how to draft a business project working together in a team. They will be divided in small teams according to their interests, each team covering one of the four use cases. The second week will then focus on drafting the business plans and preparing the pitch presentations through team work, under the guidance of experienced business tutors and lecturers. Each student team will jointly present their project to the evaluation panel, which will select the winning team according to the quality of the proposals and the pitch presentations.
