The course is just one of the 3 courses of International Summer School in American Law, Politics & Economy!

The course will be focused around the big themes in American Constitutional Law from the perspective of current litigation and constitutional controversies. It will encompass issues such as judicial review, American methods of constitutional interpretation, separation of powers, the battle over executive power, federalism and a rise in federal-state tensions, marijuana legalization, environmental regulation, the legacy of slavery, issues of race and equal protection under the law, as well civil rights and individual liberties related to free speech and guns.
