duration 1 week

SSIMA: Tech brings together leading academics, PhDs, and postdoctoral students, sharing knowledge from all “corners” of the globe, to create an “intellectual melting pot” of ideas on how to innovate next.

As the home of innovation in medical technology in Eastern Europe, SSIMA:Tech provides the opportunity to participants to meet the very top in their fields, right here in Bucharest.
The participants will receive advanced lectures on the latest breakthroughs in Deep Learning in healthcare, medical imaging, medical sensors and robotics, big data in healthcare, and any other topic that is in the forefront of the global MedTech community. They will be able to meet the professors who are leading these breakthroughs personally and ask them questions on the topics discussed.

There will also be practical sessions on a specific AI tool for all participants (the “hands-on Tensor Flow sessions”), where they can experiment themselves with applying AI, using one of the most popular tools with this purpose.

Naturally, a substantial amount of time will be available for informal talks with the speakers during the breaks and social events. There will also be cross-over activities with SSIMA:Med and SSIMA: Industry throughout the week with the participants from those tracks.
