Sustainable Animal Management
Discover the future of sustainable animal management at one of the world’s most sustainable universities!
Scientific research in animal welfare is revolutionising the management of agricultural and domestic animals,making it possible to maximise animal production whilst increasing animals’ quality of life.
This course offers an opportunity to learn how animals can be managed through technological advances in nutrition, innovative veterinary practice and diagnostics, behavioural monitoring and improvements in animal welfare.
This novel programme includes classroom learning, laboratory sessions, and veterinary demonstrations.You will also have an opportunity to observe and handle a wide range of animals at our specialist rural campus.
To participate, you should have completed at least one year of undergraduate studies, have an interest in animal management and the required English language skills.
By the end of the course you will have gained an insight into the science and technology which is driving sustainable development of agriculture and animal management.You will be able to discuss the benefits and drawbacks of sustainable animal management practice and how to make informed decisions in management to enhance both animal welfare and sustainability.You will demonstrate your understanding of these concepts via an online portfolio.

GBP 1440: An early-bird tuition fee discount of 10% is available for all students who apply and pay by 31st March 2020. Apply for two courses (4 weeks) and receive a 20% tuition fee discount off your second course!
GBP 350: On-campus accommodation for two-weeks in a single room with ensuite facilities and shared kitchen and living space (price to be confirmed). For off-campus accommodation (10 minute walk) the price is £290 for two-weeks - as above rooms are single, ensuite with shared kitchen and living spaces. Both have 24 hour security.
