Dutch Language Level 5 (B1 → B2)online course

Would you like to brush up your knowledge of Dutch grammar again and raise the level of your vocabulary? Then this Level 5 Dutch Language course is the right course for you. In this course, you work with our trainers on understanding texts at a higher level, such as scientific articles and newsletters. We also think grammatically correct writing and speaking is very important. In addition to developing your language level this course provides first practice with the NT2 State Exam. The end level of the Level 5 Dutch Language course is B2.
The following themes will be covered: holidays, spare time, transportation, nature and landscape, eating and drinking, environment, safety and health, economics and work, and science.
Course activities include:
- speaking fluently
- oral and written summaries
- grammar exercises
- letter writing
- reparation for the NT2 exam programme II
This course is suitable for people who have reached B1 level (CEFR). You are required to do a placement test developed by Babel. This test consists of two parts: multiple choice and writing. A teacher will assess your language skills. On the basis of your test result you will get an advice about which course is suitable for you. Please note that it can take up to 5 working days until your language level is assessed. In case you have already completed the placement test we kindly ask for your patience, the Babel Service Desk will review your application within a few days.

The course aim is to reach level B2 (CEF):
Participants can understand the main idea of complex texts, both with concrete and abstract subjects, including technical discourse in the participant’s own professional field;
Participants can react fluently and spontaneously, in such a way that a normal exchange is possible with native speakers of Dutch, without any strain on either side;
Participants can produce a clear, detailed text on a wide range of subjects, and they can give their opinion on a topical issue and give advantages as well as disadvantages of different options.
