Leading and Designing Organisations
The world we live in today is captured very aptly in the acronym VUCA: volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous. In this “New Normal”, organizations need to show the sustained performance while simultaneously showing extreme care for all stakeholders. This is not possible unless buiness leaders understand the importance of organization design in VUCA world. Work organizations require leadership, strategy, adaptability and coordination on a scale never before imagined. In this regard the major challenge is, “how to design a work organization that can quickly adapt with the problem of internal integration and dynamic market realities?’’ The employees’ and customers’ need and demand are ever changing and competitors adopt better ways of doing business which create a pressure on the organization’s capability to align with the internal processes (structure, system and culture) and external challenges (competitors and customers) to remain efficient and effective. Organizations need managers with such a high leadership potential right at the entry stage.
This course is designed on “Leading and Designing Organizations” to help the leaders to understand `how organizations work from inside in terms strategies, structure, system, culture and people management practices and how managers can develop the necessary competencies to reconfigure or redesign a company´.
