Materials to Technologies for Advanced Energy Storages

when 1 July 2024 - 5 July 2024
language English
duration 1 week
fee EUR 400

Research in the field of renewable energies has greatly intensified due to decreasing fossil energy resources and an increase in greenhouse gas concentration (in particular carbon dioxide).

Throughout this summer school, the problems linked to the collection of renewable energies (photovoltaic, wind, etc.), their transformation (hydrogen production, etc.) and their storage (supercapacitors, batteries, etc.) will be analysed.

Issues related to the systems needing to be implemented for such procedures with renewable energies will also be covered.

Target group

The course is designed for graduate and doctoral students.

Language requirements: classes are conducted in English. Candidates should have at least a B2 level of English or equivalent.

Candidates must provide a CV and cover or recommendation letter.

Course aim

This summer school will train future leaders in the field of energy materials for energy conversion and storage. Practical sessions as well as a capstone will be organised, thus complementing theoretical sessions.

The presence of industrial stakeholders will allow participants to benefit from a practical and engineering science-based approach to teaching.

Fee info

EUR 400: 400€ for students from partner institutions* (including lunches, coffee breaks, accommodation and social programme costs).

*Partner institutions: members of the ENLIGHT consortium, the Québec Center for Advanced Materials (QCAM) and Université Laval.
