Digital Tools for Humanists
online courseThe school intends to present some selected tools that can help humanist in their researches and activities, taking advantage of the digital turn and the new technologies.
Particular attention is given this year to useful tools for the cultural heritage.
For the first time this year the school will be entirely held online, via Microsoft Teams.

From graduated students up to professionals in the Humanities (PhD students,librarians, teachers, researches, archivists, museologist, etc.)
Course aim
The School is addressing all those interested in getting basic and working knowledge of some of the digital tools available today to scholars in many different fields of the Humanities.
The topics in the edition of 2021 will include:
- Introduction to Digital Humanities
- Designing and managing a project in DH
- Digital collections anddigital libraries
- Enhancing and enriching a Digital Archive
- Organizing virtual exhibitions
- Publishing catalogues for museums and exhibitions
- Graphic applications and 3D objects
- GIS - Geographical Information Systems
- Digitizalition of documents and artifacts
- Linked Open Data for the Digital Humanities
