Norsk grammatikk i et fremmedspråksperspektivonline course
This is a digital intensive course that runs over the first three weeks of the summer session. The course provides a systematic review of Norwegian grammar where the Norwegian language is partly placed in a contrastive context. Emphasis is placed on topics that are perceived as problematic when you do not have Norwegian as your first language. The course also works indirectly with Norwegian vocabulary and idiomatics. Development of students' own language skills is also key.
Applicants must meet the minimum requirements for entrance to higher education in Norway. The applicant must have passed Norwegian level III with the grade "C" or better on both oral and written exams. If you have taken a course at level B2 outside UiO (passed Bergen test, passed Norwegian test with B2 in all four skills, passed C1 test (both partial tests) or equivalent), you must upload documentation on this in Søknadsweb.
After completing the course, students should be able to
- explain characteristic and central features of Norwegian syntax and morphology
- describe parts of the language system in a contrastive perspective
- use grammar in practice in your own, academic language
- provide systematic analyzes of language features in different texts
NOK 0: Due to the fluid situation regarding the Coronavirus, all Bachelor's courses will be offered as digital courses, at no cost (students must buy course books themselves).
