I can guarantee you in the last month, at least one of them related to true crime – either a documentary, a series or a movie based on true events. How come we’ve become so interested in forensic science? Well, according to some experts, people are drawn to true crime because not only are we fascinated with it but because it might have an evolutionary benefit. So, don’t worry – binge watching true crime shows only makes you a better person.
But how about knowing more than just the story? How about having the knowledge to understand, question and criticize evidence? Chemistry can help prove the guilt or innocence of a defendant in criminal law so understanding the chemical forensic principles is essential to transform you into a forensic science expert.
