The objective of the IT/AI Law School is to foster attendees’ knowledge in the field of Information Technology Law and Artificial Intelligence with particular reference to practical emerging issues.
Our IT/AI Law School aims to offer the latest theoretical and practical knowledge useful in everyday work, as well as to introduce you to the directions of the current legislative efforts and the new challenges, ideas, and concepts in the domain of law.
The second edition of IT/AI Law School will focus mainly on matters concerning:
• artificial intelligence
• online platforms
• cloud computing
• blockchain
• databases and machine data.
We will broadly address the practical legal aspects of creation, implementation, and utilisation of AI-based systems. We will discuss the legal issues related to AI projects, including the structure of contracts/agreements for the implementation of AI systems in detail. Apart from dealing with strictly legal issues, the participants of the school will also become familiar with the practical aspects of assurance of compliance of AI systems with the principles and standards of ethics.
We will also extensively cover the current situation of today’s online platforms. The participants will learn about the new obligations and responsibilities imposed on service suppliers under the drafted Digital Services Act, and about the liability of online platforms pursuant to the law of the Russian Federation.
We will discuss selected aspects of the American practice adopted in the area of Cloud Computing, including the principles of drawing up CC contracts and the requirements for cybersecurity. Issues concerning blockchain, databases, or machine data will be addressed as well.
IT/AI Law School will give you an opportunity to take part in lectures by outstanding lawyers from the United States, Russia, Japan, Italy, Germany, Great Britain, the Netherlands, and Poland.
Our speakers will include both eminent professors from prestigious European higher education institutions and seasoned industry practitioners dealing with IT/AI projects on a daily basis.
By taking part in our IT/AI Law School, you will get access to the latest knowledge on the directions of legislative efforts undertaken at the EU level or on OECD’s activity, provided directly by individuals engaged in the work in question.

By participating in the IT / AI Winter Law School, you will become familiar with e.g.:

selected aspects of protection of software and databases in the light of American, Russian, and German law,
selected aspects of drawing up license agreements in the light of American, Russian, and German law,
the principles of selection of law applicable to IT contracts,
practical legal aspects of Cloud Computing/ SaaS/ ASP,
the latest judicial decisions of the CJEU in the area of copyright in a digital environment,
data management agreements and smart contracts,
the trends in the current legislative efforts of the EU, the Council of Europe, and UNESCO in the domain of AI,
the principles of civil liability for damage caused by AI,
the practical experience of Japanese lawyers in the area of management of AI implementation projects.
