Special Needs and Inclusive Education in a Global Contextblended course
Like many other countries, Switzerland is in the process of progressive realisation towards an inclusive education system. While the vision is the same – a rights-based approach in line with the Sustainable Development Goals (Goal 4) and the Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (CRPD) – the path towards that vision depends on the specific situation and context in each country. Participants will gain an in-depth understanding of challenges and opportunities as well as key factors of successful implementation, by exploring different perspectives of local and international stakeholders. Activities include lectures, workshops, self-study, interviews and discussions as well as field visits and personal exploration of a topic of interest. Participants will be encouraged and supported in reflecting on different perspectives and solutions.
This course is partly combined with the online Summer School «Innovative Approaches to Inclusive Education».
