Liverpool, Memory and the Media
The media is an influential part of our history and modern environment. This
interdisciplinary module will encourage students to explore media representations of significant events in Liverpool's history and interpret how they shaped the region in the present day.
This module will give students the opportunity to analyse a host of primary
and secondary historical sources from various media outlets and databases, and would interest students who want to advance their knowledge of critical and descriptive thinking.
To develop critical and descriptive thinking and a knowledge of events in Liverpool’s contemporary and modern history as depicted through visual and literary representations in the media.
To develop confidence in understanding and communicating complex ideas in written and/or spoken language.
To develop skills in research and collaborative learning.
Credits equivalent to 7.5 ECTS
EUR 0: Module must be taken as part of a Week 4-6 or Week 1-6 International Summer School programme, so no individual module prices are available.
