On Friendship: Summer Academy in the Spirit of Edith Stein (in German)
The summer academy addresses the question of friendship by focusing on both Edith Stein's own understanding of friendship but also in the academic perspectives in which Edith Stein herself worked, including from biblical, theological, philosophical, anthropological and spiritual perspectives.
The German-language summer academy in Rome is characterized by the combination of study and prayer, community and relaxation in the quiet atmosphere of the Pontifical Faculty Teresianum.
The topics include discussions about friendship in the digital world, friendship in Thomas Aquinas, Carmelite spirituality, Romano Guardini, Aelred of Rievaulx. More details are available on our website.

Target group
The summer academy is primarily aimed at students, young researchers or anyone (up to the age of 35) who has an academic interest, not just in philosophy and theology, who want to deepen the question of the meaning of friendship together and in a context of prayer.
Course aim
The course aims to develop both an academic understanding of the topic of friendship and also develop the connection between philosophical and theological reflection and lived friendship.
