Data visualization and infographics are used as effective communication strategies across different fields inclusive of journalism, branding and marketing. Data visualization is a valuable communication strategy. It amplifies cognition and information impact by making information not only more understandable/accessible, but also graphic, social and interactive.

The course is a comprehensive introduction to data visualization design and storytelling methods, practices and trends. Some of the topics we will explore are: visualization design and concept methodology (e.g. how to critically approach your data), working with dataset, visualizations tools and resources and tools, creatively using bar charts, Google maps, visualize text and more.
The working language of the course will be English.
