Digital technologies are leading to new forms of money such as cryptocurrencies and offer opportunities to improve the functioning of the monetary system. In this module, you will read, discuss and draw to learn about the functioning of the current monetary system, its main systemic problems and key developments. The module is given by cartographist Carlijn Kingma, research journalist Thomas Bollen and professor New Finance Martijn van der Linden. Since a year, they have been collaborating to develop a map, a book and educational materials about the money system. Participants in this module will be challenged to use their creativity and will playfully contribute to the further development of these materials
