Stakeholder Management in Global Contexts
In an increasingly transparent world where different local and global stakeholder groups impose multiple claims on firm’s operations and strategy, developing a clear and coherent stakeholder strategy is now relevant for any firm whether it is a large multinational corporation or a small e-commerce startup. This course focuses on the analysis of firm stakeholders and stakeholder management strategy. Stakeholders of the firm are multiple and include, among others, governments, political groups and social movements, communities, customers, employees, investors, the media, suppliers and other business partners. In this course, we will look at how different stakeholders influence and are influenced by firm strategy and explore how firms can build relationships with different stakeholder groups to succeed in both domestic and global markets.
