New Standards for International Taxation: Global Cooperation For a Fair Tax Environment
The fast development of technologies over the last 30 years has boosted globalization as a general phenomenon, having a direct and clear impact on the economic environment. On the one hand, businesses internationalization has considerably grown and, on the other hand, the use of digital strategies has completely changed the business culture and the trade standards.
This economic environment has led to new ways of doing business, to increasing exchanges of goods and services thus promoting International trade and to the development of multinational groups operating on a global basis through more sophisticated and complex structures. In this context, taxation becomes a relevant issue.
