This course has been set up for business professionals and future business professionals doing their bachelor or master’s studies. The author(s) will explain how the blockchain technology will forever change the way that business is being done. Many people have been considering potentially disruptive technology for the last few years. But how can we tell the difference between hype and true change, and between hype and buzz that has no basis in reality? The distributed ledger technology known as blockchain has been one of the most talked-about examples of disruptive technology. Some people are under the impression that this is due to the technology's close connection with the cryptocurrency industry, which has a direct impact on the world's most powerful financial trends. Other people are more focused on how the application of blockchain technology in various industrial sectors will enable significant value to be created.

It is possible that blockchain technology may provide a new basis for decentralized business models since it has the ability to lower transaction costs, build distributed trust, and empower decentralized platforms. Many supporters of blockchain technology draw parallels between the advent of the internet in the 1990s and the influence it has had on our day-to-day lives. How can companies get themselves ready for what is to come and put themselves in a position to benefit from the new technology that is being developed?

In this course, we examine the advantages of decentralized system, identify the many business models that are already in existence, and discuss the possible difficulties and constraints that may arise. Decentralized systems may reshape the structure of modern business and create a new landscape for entrepreneurship and innovation. While avoiding deep technological explanations of the Blockchain technology, much attention will be given to the effect that it may have – will have - on business models, marketing, value chain management, HRM/recruitment, business strategies and business policies. Not forgetting new ways of working, compliance and auditing and corporate
governance. In short, we will examine how Blockchain will affect our lives, industry, and society in the next 10 years. Participants will meet disruptive technology specialists and learn about the newest innovations. Students will be better equipped to tackle and exploit possibilities and challenges from rapidly expanding technology. Students will also learn about Business Model in general and how the Blockchain technology will disrupt the existing business models.
