Summer School Entrepreneurship, Innovation & Global Purpose
The first module (from 26.06 to 07.07) entitled "Discovering Entrepreneurship and Innovation" will engage the participant in real-life business problems, attend lectures, discuss case studies, explore the Swiss entrepreneurial ecosystem and discover their own entrepreneurial vision.
The course is particularly aimed at students who wish to develop a new business idea.
The second module (from 10.07 to 21.07) entitle "How to lead with Purpose and Global Impact" deliver a sense of purpose across a wide range of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) priorities. But also a reflexion on support in implementing, governing, and managing the shift required for sustainability integration. How you can clearly define your purpose and how to align purpose with your values while understanding the global context in which you are operating.

Target group
This program is designed for Swiss & international students in Business Administration, Economics, Business Informatics, or Business Engineering.
Course aim
- Identifying business opportunities and establishing the support structure needed to translate their ideas into action.
- Support students toward the preparation of demos/pitch of their business ideas
- Work in international teams exploring their group potential and intercultural skills.
- Explain and demonstrate the business-relevance of non-financial performance covering the dimensions Environment, Society and Governance (ESG)Enhance the own empowering leadership capabilities.
- Understand to work in agile organization.
- Learn from successful testimonials and transfer the learnings in concrete personal leadership action.
- Propose a leadership that is meaningful and no longer based solely on financial results

10 EC
5 ECTS credits per Module
A minimum attendance rate of 80% is required to receive a passing grade.
For students participating in only one module (two weeks in length):
Credits are awarded as follows:
- 60% Group work/presentation (module I: Jean-Marie Ayer and Isabelle Dufour; module II: Laurent Houmard);
- 20% Individual work
- 15% Student commitment
- 5% Attendance
The course is graded on a scale of 0 to 6 (4= satisfactory, 5 = good, 6 = excellent)
Students will receive an official transcript mentioning the ECTS credits.
Fee info
CHF 1500: Includes all lectures, study material, cultural activities, transport to company visits and accommodation for 4 weeks.
