Portfolio Preparation for the Creative Arts
Gain experience in different arts subjects and develop confidence in your creative abilities with this varied and stimulating course.
Over 3 weeks you will produce work for your physical and digital portfolio exploring subjects including Drawing and Illustration, Graphic Design, Fashion, Photography, Film, Architecture, Mixed Media and Print Making. You will work on a series of themed projects across a mixture of art subjects to allow you to experiment and explore your own creative identity whilst also developing your understanding of key creative processes to enhance your work. Your course tutors will offer guidance and support on creative application, as well as feedback on your artwork and advice on your future creative studies.
AUB Summer Courses are open to all those aged 16 or over at the time of taking the course. Our summer courses are attended by high school students, university students and creative professionals wishing to up-skill or change careers. No previous experience or skills are required for this course apart from an enthusiasm to learn.

University Students, who wish their home university to recognise and award credits for their summer programme, should first
check with their home institution so that they can assess and award credit as appropriate. The Arts University recommends
the course is equivalent to 1 - 4 U.S. credits and 3 - 9 ECTS credits. Students will be able to demonstrate their successful
course attendance and completion by presenting their course handbook and Completion Certificate.

Please note our tuition fee includes all materials used within the course, teaching costs, plus admission fees for any day trips or study excursions that take place as part of your course.

Our residential programme offers excellent value for money to make sure you have everything taken care of to support your time whilst you are here studying your summer course with us.
You can choose to book our Summer Residential Programme alongside your 3-week summer course which includes University accommodation, all meals and our lively social programme of activities to make the most of your time in the evenings and weekends. If you are travelling from outside the UK, we also include a return airport transfer shuttle bus service from London airports to our University Accommodation, if required.
