The class aims to provide students with understanding of the approaches and methods involved in the scientific investigation of psychological phenomena.
Summary of class content: evidence and belief; probability and coincidence; paranormal cognition; astrology; dreaming; meditation; hypnotism.

Target group

Students with an IELTS score of 6.0 or higher
Minimum age: 18

Course aim

To provide students with an understanding of the approaches and methods involved in the scientific investigation of psychological phenomena.
To evaluate the scientific evidence for beliefs which are widely accepted by the general public, such as beliefs in paranormal phenomena.

Each Summer School module is worth 20 UK credits (10 ECTS).

GBP : At the time of application, students have the opportunity to select from accommodation at two of the University of Westminster's centrally located Halls of Residence, as well as joining a comprehensive Social Programme including evening events in London, and weekend trips throughout the UK.
