New ways of working, also known as NWoW, is no longer a “new” phenomenon. In the Netherlands knowledge of, and research into the planning, design and implementation of these workplaces have achieved a high level op professionalization. By means of lectures, workshops and site visits, the focus of the summer school will be on understanding the relationship between the organizational goals and ambitions, the needs and requirements of employees, and the impact thereof on real estate.

The Summer School will focus on helping participants to understand and obtain insight into the complexity of how organisations make decisions on

what the most suitable workplace would be for their specific organisational identity (“What we want”)
the choices that need to be made in realizing and implementing the desired new work environment (“How do we get there?”)
what the impact thereof will be on the management and procurement of real estate.
The SummerSchool will last for one week (see date above) and will be held daily from 09:00 – 12:00 and from 13:00 – 16:00. In addition to the course-related activities ( lectures, workshops and site visits), a social programme will also be organised to introduce participants to the Dutch culture.
