International Summer Course for German language, literature and cultural studies
Once again this year, the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University of Bonn invites all those interested from across the globe to join its traditional Summer Course.
During August 2016 the University of Bonn holds it’s traditional four-week Summer Course. German language classes will take place in the morning and work groups as well as various excursions in the afternoon.
Target group
Applicants 18 years or older with admission to higher education.
Course aim
Participants have the chance to learn German ab initio or to improve existing knowledge. As a participant you will get the chance to experience one of Germany's oldest and largest universities.
The Summer Course wants to give participants a comprehensive and practical understanding of German culture and traditions as well as contribute to fostering international friendships.
Credits info
The acknowledgment of your accomplishments in class by your university (if wished for by you), e.g. the crediting of ECTS-points, should be discussed with your home institution.
Fee info
EUR 730: Icluding 60 hours of German lessons, workshops, excursions (e.g Cologne, Aachen, Eltz Castle, wine tasting etc.) and events (e.g. boatparty on the Rhine etc.).
EUR 0: For accommodation in a student dormitory if wished for. Not mandatory! The actual price varies depending on the dormitories and rooms available at the time.
Scholarships
It is possible to apply for a DAAD-scholarship for our 4-week Summer Course.
