Pre-University Psychology **For ages 16-17**
**For ages 16-17**
This course is designed for students considering undergraduate study in Psychology and related subjects. Students will be introduced to core aspects of studying Psychology at this level and be encouraged to adopt problem based learning to see how insights from research can be applied to real world issues. With the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience being one of the world’s leading centres for interdisciplinary research in psychiatry and psychology, King’s can provide students with a valuable insight into this field of study.
This course will consist of approximately 40 contact hours with teaching taking place from Monday to Friday.
The King's College London Pre-University Summer School is a unique academic and social experience designed for high school students who are enrolled in their final two years of study (typically 16 and 17 years old).
By the end of the module, you should have:
experienced a variety of learning activities typical of a first year undergraduate degree in Psychology
built on your existing knowledge of core topics covered in a first year undergraduate degree in Psychology
carried out independent research on a given topic and produced a structured and well supported response to an assignment brief
worked collaboratively in diverse groups to produce a presentation
GBP 1800: Also a one off application fee of £40
We are offering 10 tuition fee scholarships for students wishing to study on our 2018 Pre-University Summer School. These scholarships will cover the tuition fee of £1,800 and the deadline to apply is 1 April 2018.Register for this course
