Pre-University Psychology Online Summer Schoolonline course
**For ages 16-18**
Are you fascinated by the study of the mind and the human brain? For psychologists, this is one of the most exciting and important areas of advancing medical science. This module will encourage you to think critically and adopt problem-based learning to see how insights from research can be applied to real world issues. Our Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience is one of the world’s leading centres for interdisciplinary research in psychiatry and psychology, and you will gain a valuable insight into this field of study.
Ideal if you are considering undergraduate study in Psychology and related subjects, participants will be introduced to core aspects of studying Psychology at this level.
The course consists of approximately 30 contact hours with teaching taking place from Monday to Friday.

The King's College London Pre-University Summer School is a unique academic and social experience designed for high school students who are enrolled in their final two years of study (typically 16 and 17 years old).
By the end of the module, you should have:
experienced a variety of learning activities typical of a first year undergraduate degree in Psychology
built on your existing knowledge of core topics covered in a first year undergraduate degree in Psychology
carried out independent research on a given topic and produced a structured and well supported response to an assignment brief
worked collaboratively in diverse groups to produce a presentation
