University of Liverpool International Summer School

Modules will be grouped in pathways with each pathway dedicated to a different theme. Examples of the pathways on offer are:

Cultural Programme:
Two organised visits will be offered, one in each 3-week programme block.

Target group
To apply to the International Summer School, we expect the following:
You will be a student at post graduate or undergraduate level at a university worldwide or have completed an undergraduate degree at a university worldwide.
You will be aged 18 or over on the first day of the course.
Students will be able to use English to the equivalent of IELTS 6.0 standard.
Students are not required to take a secure English language test. Many different test results are acceptable as proof, or we can supply a short online test.
Because we are accepting non-secure English language tests, any student who is found to fall significantly below the required level on arrival may be refused registration.
Course aim
• To give students experience of English-medium instruction in a higher education setting.
• To grow students’ confidence communicating and presenting in English.
• To introduce students to the University of Liverpool and cultural heritage of the UK.
Credits info
2.5 ECTS
6 week students can sign up for 8 modules (40 University of Liverpool credits or 20 ECTS)
3 week students can sign up for 4 modules (20 University of Liverpool credits of 10 ECTS)
The programme offers 16 hours’ tuition per week (in addition to the scheduled learning students will be expected to engage in self-directed study)
